CANVASS OF 2017 COORDINATED ELECTION

The Arapahoe County Board of Canvassers will meet to examine and, if appropriate, certify the Official Abstract of Votes Cast for the Nov. 7, 2017 Coordinated Election. Election results remain unofficial until they are certified.
The 2017 Canvass Board includes County Clerk and Recorder Matt Crane as the Designated Elected Official, as well as the Arapahoe County Democratic Party Chair and Arapahoe County Republican Party Chair, or their appointee.
The Canvass Board must complete the following duties in accordance with Colorado Revised Statutes 1-10-101.5 and SOS Rule 10.3.2 by the 17th day after the Coordinated Election (by Nov. 24):
(a) Reconcile the ballots cast in an election to confirm that the number of ballots counted in that election does not exceed the number of ballots cast in that election;
(b) Reconcile the ballots cast in each precinct in the county to confirm that the number of ballots cast does not exceed the number of registered electors in the precinct; and
(c) Certify the abstract of votes cast in any election and transmit the certification to the Secretary of State.
If a recount is held and the vote result changes, the Canvass Board will prepare and certify an amended official Abstract of Votes Cast. If the vote result does not change after the recount, the Canvass Board will include a statement to that effect in the official abstract of votes cast.
