Arapahoe County invites news media to cover the Nov. 8 General Election from our innovative Elections Facility in Littleton, or one of our Voter Service and Polling Centers.
Arapahoe County is a swing county with an active registered voter population that is split between Democratic (33.8 percent), Republican (29.4 percent) and unaffiliated (35.2 percent) voters, making it the ideal location to watch state and federal races. The County also uses the state’s new uniform voting system and offers visuals of state-of-the-art equipment at our facilities.

ARAPAHOE COUNTY ELECTIONS FACILITY

Media are invited to cover the election and wait for results from the County Elections Facility, a 38,500 square foot state-of-the art elections operations center with 200 workers on-site. This is a unique venue where you may film or photograph both live ballot processing and a Voter Service and Polling Center at one location. We can accommodate satellite trucks on a first-come, first-served basis. Wireless internet access and power are available. Site tours are available in advance.

These are among Arapahoe County’s busiest Voter Service and Polling Centers, open 7 a.m. – 7 p.m., Nov. 8. You may film or photograph voters as they register to vote, interact with election judges, cast a paper ballot, or vote on a touch-screen tablet. Both locations also feature a 24-hour ballot box. Wifi is available.
Please keep in mind that news media may not:
- Take images that show a voter’s selections on a paper ballot or ballot screen;
- Review, photograph or film identifying voter information;
- Interview a voter as they are casting their vote on paper or machine; or,
- Interview election judges or workers.
Unofficial election results in Arapahoe County will be posted online shortly after 7 p.m., Nov.8 at www.arapahoevotes.com. Click on the icon titled “Election Night Results.” Voter turnout data and reports also are updated daily on this website. Follow @arapahoeclerk on Twitter for election updates.
